“My Husband (!) Luke proposed to me on the 5th March 2017 but long before then we had dreamed of having a wedding somewhere warmer where we could spend the entire time outside. We soon got carried away planning the ideal day and drew up a list of must haves for our perfect venue.

We scoured the internet and stumbled across Podere Torricella in Umbria, Italy. A beautiful refurbished farmhouse, remote enough to be surrounded by beautiful scenery but just 90 minutes from Rome airports and a 10 minute drive to stunning Narni. The villa, with all the modern conveniences, ticked every box and more. It was almost like it had been made for us.

Fairly quickly we realised that not speaking Italian was going to cause some issues! Even though we had not booked the villa through Emma Villas (since it was not in their portfolio) I saw later that they add it on their books. I was unaware of Emma Villas wedding planning service but had seen that they were able to suggest add-on services so fired off a quick email on the off chance that someone might be able to suggest a catering solution for us.

Rossana came to our rescue with answers for everything we threw her way and very quickly became the wedding planner I never thought I’d have. No idea too big or too small, she very quickly understood our vision and was able to discuss with vendors and clearly present to us the options to choose from. We never felt pushed towards anything and Rossana was able to provide really insightful advice about weather, sunlight and much more.  We spoke mainly on email throughout the entire process which worked brilliantly for us. There is absolutely no way we could have planned our wedding without her.

The weather was perfect, the scene was beautiful and the intimate ceremony breath-taking. The food and wine delicious and free flowing and to top it all off we were surrounded by our loving friends and family. It really was the most perfect day.”
